In the poisoned underbelly of Goloth, a young courier named Kain Voss scrounges through job after job, just trying to get by. When a routine delivery leaves him near death, Kain awakens inside the Sanctuary, a secretive techno-religious order that has rebuilt his body for purposes he barely understands. Trapped between corporate brutality, fanatic transhumanism, and the creeping loss of his own humanity, Kain must discover what the Sanctuary wants from him, and what he is willing to become to escape it.
