In 2003, four-year-old Benny Rivera vanishes while watching a VHS recording of The Purple Parlor, a forgotten children's program hosted by the unnervingly cheerful Jimmy. Nine years later, Benny's older sister Ashley discovers an online trail leading back to the abandoned television station where the show was produced. Drawn in by strange broadcasts, missing footage, and a childhood trauma that never truly healed, Ashley sets out to discover what truly happened to her brother, and why The Purple Parlor still seems to be on the air.
